Its our (Muslim) belief that when we learn about each other, then we can stop feeling hate towards each other, education is the key to a diverse and healthy free society, said Hassan Shibly with Council on American Islamic Relations. Well fine... but then, why is there a whole chapter on Islam, and virtually nothing about any other religious belief in this USA Textbook? That unbalanced, non-diverse situation might make sense if America had been founded by Muslims, the USA Citizens were predominately Muslim, or if this were happening in an Islamic parochial school. But NONE of those things are true. Therefore, NO diversity, no teaching for the USA students about their own heritage, and the curriculum is mandated (forced) by the State. Hmmmm School officials have not said when the school board meeting will be rescheduled. (That way they wont have so many pesky parents there.) And the last paragraph... the Muslims ended with prayer, but Christians arent allowed to pray! Not in school, or federal buildings, etc...
