Its past the midway point on my G Adventures trip to Japan, and like last years trip in India, Ive thoroughly enjoyed the company. My roommate and I get on great, the group has getting on and off of trains quickly down to a science, and everyone is interested in hanging out together. With 3 days in Kyoto, I decided to make a quick day trip to Osaka to eat -- the beauty of an unlimited rail pass is that you can hop to another city on a bullet train without any second thoughts! I was lucky enough to catch up with a few of my Trans-Pacific passengers and give them a quick hug in the subway before heading back to Kyoto to see the bamboo forest before dusk. A long and tiring but wonderful day. Tomorrow, TO FUJI!
