Its pitch black out and cold, into my studio I go with my coffee. Open up the wood burning glass front stove, throw 4 pieces of kindling in and light it up with my big propane gas torch. I have fire in 30 seconds. Computers on and one is softly playing my Pandora Aaron Copland station in the background. Appalachian Spring is building tempo along with the fire and the ambient light in the room, from the impending sunrise, shes not up yet, but shes coming. Out comes my morning pages journal, at my writing table with a view of the fire, the most delicious cup of coffee I have ever had as I make it for myself every morning and I as begin writing the glow from the sun is touching the tips of the bright yellow aspen grove, I am wrapped in warm golden light and I have been residing next to this for the past 20 years. The room turns gold and I am struck, once more, by how completely beautiful my life is inside and out, especially today. Gratitudes get listed in the journal and now I am off to work and I love my work at the Chamber and the studio. I love my home and my studio and my kids and my beautiful hot fudge sunday of a gorgeous hard working husband and I love my dogs and my walks in the woods with my friend Lisa. I love my life.
