Its possible that in our most difficult and trying times, God is in the process of preparing us for our next assignment, and ultimately, our next blessing. In order for us to go from glory to glory, we have to bloom where we are planted. And just like a summers garden, there comes a time when some of those flowers have to endure a transplant, moving from one bed to another. My grandmother always had a saying about her gardens, regarding a plant being transplanted. Due to the plant being cut from its root system, there is an interruption of growth, a temporary trauma the plant has to go through, as it is pulled out of its soil, and on its way to its new bed, before it can begin to grow again. My grandmother would say In the first year they sleep, the second year they creep, and the third year they leap. It takes time for what is new to become the new normal. Its natural to experience what feels like a void inside, while in the midst of God making these changes in us. What used to be normal, what was once comfortable, becomes foreign. Just as the plant has to adapt itself to a new soil, we have to allow God to make the adjustments in us.....as we are planted in our new season. Give God a chance. Change is good.....it makes room for growth.
