Its pretty cool that I had the oportunity to ask the Gov a few questions today... like where did the idea or model for the new Business Roundtable for Education Policy Reform come from... said it came from himself and the superintendent for public instruction and shot a look at one of his advisors. She came up to me afterwards and said many other states have an advisory pannel like this, but could only name one. The press conference was cut short so I couldnt ask if this is the opening salvo in getting business more involved in state funding for education... he said there will be more info in his State of the State Speech, January 15, 6PM. So its a waiting game. What he did say though is that there is a brain drain in the state. Ill be working on that story for the morning before the state of the state address.
