Its probably been said already but: Okay, so we know Kvothe has quite a lot of skill with naming- both in the sense of finding the name of the wind and being able to guess names, such as with his horse, one sock. It was completely by accident, but maybe subconsciously, his naming skill appears here. Which leads me to the subject of master Ash, Dennas patron. Kvothe gives him a the name of ash just because, but maybe it has connection to his real name! What is similar to ash??! Just my speculation :P Also- Kvothes first guesses at his name are Feran, Forue and Fordale, similar to Cinders Adem name of Ferule...
