Its rare that I comment on the news.. most of it to me is oversensationalized hype designed to keep us in fear of each other and life in general, but the video of Eric Garner ended up on my wall today. I found myself unable to watch the whole thing, I was so horrified and disturbed by it. To find out that our police can just get away with that kind of sick brutality, while not surprising, is still enraging and disgusting to me. There were protesters in the streets today and I sat in the traffic jams calmly waiting.. What happened is such a clear demonstration of WRONG there isnt really an argument anyone can seem to make on behalf of anything else. I only hope that people who are demonstrating and protesting around the country and world, will recognize that violence to fight violence only creates more violence. It is the noble ones who will find ways to ignite change thru peaceful awareness. To you I raise my sword in solidarity. Tonight I wish only for peace for all.
