Its rare that I find myself with a morning with nothing to do, no where to go and with Pati out of the house antiquing with a friend. Whats a guy to do who doesnt follow college basketball? Circus Movie Marathon!!! (Pati & Devon no longer allow me to watch these old movies when theyre around.) Todays lineup included Billy Roses JUMBO with Doris Day, Jimmy Durante, Martha Raye and Stephen Boyd, four episodes of the 1961 TV series Frontier Circus with Chill Wills, John Derek and Richard Jaecklel and Walt Disneys TOBY TYLER ~ or Ten Weeks With the Circus with Kevin Corcoran, Henry Calvin and Gene Sheldon. Most of you know I ran away with the Circus for the first time before I was 14. That first summer with the Ringling Bros. the Barnum & Bailey Circus making and selling cotton candy was the start of a long association with the Circus as a Constashionaire, Clown and Performer. It either all started with TOBY TYLER or the TV series, Circus Boy with Mickey Braddock, (who would later change his name back to Micky Dolenz of The Monkees)
