Its rare when you see a DJ artist album that has this kind of dexterity and range. Norways Todd Terje takes you on a linear ride in a vintage spaceship (the kind imagined in the 1960s) with futuristic funk, John Barry-esque exotica, whimsical samba, and his trademark nu-disco playing on the stereo. It is cheeky and exhilarating but also keenly aware of where its going. When you arrive at this lone vocal track midway through, the wizened, genteel voice of the greatest lounge singer of them all, Bryan Ferry, reminds you that this journey also takes a toll.
