Its really 5:40..... but this is what I started typing and got busy with jess Wow, its really 4 am?? I just got back into San Antonio at 2 am. Jess is having quite a bit of discomfort and restless again. She is continuing to drop her heart rate and blood pressure every time they suction her and when she tries to cough or gag...her vagal response? (no, not that. Imagine yourself dry heaving and when you break out in cold sweats) so they have her hooked up for an external pacemaker. = ( While it is supposed to be normal and good she has that response they dont know why she plummets and then soars. Her tummy has also gotten quite distended... she is scheduled for dialysis later this morning and they are hoping that helps along with just getting rid of the gas. Her bilirubin is almost normal and she isnt yellow anymore which is nice to see! She has her Angelina Jolie upper lip working thanks to the tubes and now her playing with it with her tongue. I am relieved to be back here although when I first got here I had that panicked and afraid feeling I couldnt quite shake. They gave her medicine to help calm her and she is stable again. So, here I sit. Next to her bed watching her breathe. Watching all the numbers on the monitor. Turning around when she starts honking to see those numbers and then back at her heart rate and bp. I find myself trying to match her breathing and catching mine when she pauses. I know what everyone is going to say yes. I am going to get some sleep!! I promise. Her dad will be here in a few hours and I will go to the hotel for a couple of hours.Its a new day. Im ready for it. When I finally started setting up my corner I noticed the gift bag that my friend Lisa Sain-Hodapp dropped off for her earlier!! THANK you!!! Jessica LOVES these headbands and I cant wait to put one on her!! Thank you for coming and checking on her for me!!!!
