Its really depressing to read about the chemicals found in our common household and personal care items that could be linked to hormonal disruption, cancer etc. I just checked the First Choice hand soap we use everyday and its got triclosan as does the spare Colgate Total toothpaste I bought from NTUC on sale. I use that hand soap to wash my hands before I touch my baby. Ugh. I dont wanna think of what other chemicals Ive already managed to introduce to her inadvertently. Like I said - depressing. This kind of article makes you want to turn hippie and make your own stuff : ( And pray for the grace of God for health despite our exposure to all the pesticide laden food and cheap chemical products. Somedays I really hate where Big Industry and an idolatrous worship of cost efficiency and profit maximisation has taken us. Makes me wonder if Singapore should start banning the use of such chemicals in our products? But that will wipe out probably all cheap or commercial items out there.
