Its really hard to believe, that tomorrow will be exactly 30 years, 30 years, since the brightest light in my life went out....Where has the time gone? Seems like only yesterday........We all have these darkest day memories, all of us.......whether, the passing of a mom, dad, child, spouse, sister or brother or any other loved one, who left us too soon......theres always the birthdays and the day of passing, that constantly remind us, they are still missed........But, over time, things do get better.........sure , weve all been curled up in a fetal position on the floor, balling our eyes out........And I do believe a person can die of a broken heart..........if there is no will to carry on.......You see, it is the mind that heals the heart, over time, reinforcing the scars left behind..........I was lucky, rather than seek professional help, psychotherapy, or hypnosis. Which, I dont believe in.......For me, if I may use a phrase from the recently departed, Joe Cocker, seems to have worked the best,.......I get by with a little help from my friends.........Over time, that really was the best medicine, having those who know us best, get us through the rough times.......So, things are good, these days, thanks to some really great friends over the years. And , I know there are some of my friends, who recently lost loved ones, and are going through a rough time, especially this holiday season........If you find yourself having a hard time coping, pick up the phone, and call me........So, having said that, as we look forward to the new year, may we move ahead, always with one eye on the past......See you in the New Year......Ill just be a day or two behind in the celebration, as my calendar doesnt start until January 2nd.......Still missing, you bro,.......and I know every night I look up, the moon and stars shine a little brighter, thanks, for lighting the way.
