Its really not complicated. I respond to some post, and in turn, people respond to some of my posts. That, in essence, is a fundamental purpose and function of FB. It is not necessary, or even reasonable to expect otherwise. People are busy, and not all posts assume or merit a response That premise being established, I still stand by my contention, that replying in kind to a Merry Christmas post is minimal with respect to the senders good will and intention, especially it consideration to the reason and season.
