Its really very comfortable to sleep wearing a Pure-Silk Sari only. Because of its soft texture you would feel comfortable during both hot and cold days. Silk ...the most beautiful of all textile fibers is acclaimed as the queen of textiles. It comes from the cocoon of the silk worm and requires a great deal of handling and processing, which makes it one of the most expensive fibers also. We are lucky that Bangladesh has this rich heritage of producing Silk at Rajshahi. While I had been to Rajshahi before Independence, I often used to purchase Silk Saris from the Sericulture. My Mejo Apa who had been my Friend, Philosopher and Guide at that time, told me that Silk has the wonderful ability to keep our body cool in hot days and comparatively warm in cold days. Material for Silk is derived from the outer layer of worms body and Nature has provided it the basic quality of maintaining life. Girls in our Culture are allowed to wear Silk [Resham] Clothes during their life-time; but our Males are not allowed to do so. So, sisters do not make delay. Just go to sleep with your Pure Silk Sari. I personally do not need to purchase one; as I was in the habit of purchasing Silks in my early life. I am now using those everyday;-- as I am already a Septuagenarian and there is no use hoarding my old clothes. I have made some Kaftans also from some of my old Silk Saris. Dear Sisters, please do not forget how to use those Saris during Sleep. Just wear a Sari only, (as it was worn in Pre--Gynada Nondini days, --that is, without any Blouse and Petticoat). The Extra long Sari is sufficient enough to cover your whole body. Moreover, this is your Night Dress only: so, do not worry.
