Its really windy, cold and icy outdoors so staying put where its warm and catching up on some creative endeavours. One of these has been to finish carving away the surface of a soft material square block to make a relief block based on a self-portrait of myself. This is being used as a teaching aid in the schools for the selfie block print projects. Here you will see the block and the proof print I made off of it. Might need to reveal a bit more of that one eye. I added a circular textural background but am undecided whether to leave it as is, trim it back or carve it away completely.
