Its seems to be safe to assume given string theory, the first law of physics and the third law of thermodynamics that it is possible if our dimension is mainly physic and form of matter that there may very well be an equal and opposite purely energy layer between dimensions from which subatomic particles appear to dive into and then re-appear from like they do according to quantum physics. Maybe this is simply energy converting to matter and visa versa creating that equal and opposite reaction. If matter was converted to pure energy and back arranging atoms in the exact same fashion as they had been before you could jump in between dimensions and Id imagine if there are ghosts or beings of energy you would find them stuck there. Crazy? Maybe...but highly plausible given science.
