Its sickening to hear US officials claiming that Hamas is provoking Israel to attack them so they will kill civilians to manipulate public opinion against Israel. They think showing Americans these images will promote Hamas cause and thats why they are being censored. The massive leap of logic they make in order to condone Israels wholesale slaughter of Palestinians is one of the sickest things Ive seen from our government. The rockets would stop if, instead of stretching reason beyond rational limits, the US used its influence to hold Israel accountable for their war crimes. Instead, the US enables Israel and extends the US diplomatic umbrella over them so they can commit these crimes with impunity. Over the long run it is not good for Israel to keep isolating itself from world opinion because of the absence of a viable peace process, Bill Clinton told the Indian NDTV news channel on Wednesday. In the short to medium term, Hamas can inflict terrible public relations damage on Israel by forcing it to kill Palestinian civilians to counter Hamas, he added.
