Its so crazy....tomorrow marks 100 yes 100 days of waiting for Braydens gift of life. Tonight I had my niece and nephew who are 12 & 10 (tomorrow) and Brayden just unleashed a story on them about how he gets his new heart, where he went during his last surgery so much more... It was alot!! But Brayden shared with excitement... he did ask mommy again how the Dr finds his heart (this was part of our last hospital visit) he understands as much as a 6 year old can understand . When we first started telling Brayden he needed a new heart (in 2011) he was so scared... he would cry no mommy I want to keep my heart I was born with. He would scream at us I WANT TO KEEP MY HEART.. Its weird but now he is ok with it... he is making plans...and I mean big plans with his new heart. The more Brayden understands the more questions he asks....and the tougher the questions get. Now that he knows what he knows on how he will get his heart... he has asked me mommy what do you think my new heart is doing right now? Man these questions get tougher and tougher... this is where we turn and pray for the new heart....for the family...for our family. This journey is crazy...its hard...scary..happy..joyful overwhelming.. as we open every new chapter the emotions change. Heres to day 99 of waiting...
