Its so easy to devalue something that doesnt pertain to you. Were so quick to brush it off with a its not that bad or Ive never heard of that happening or it must be a new thing because its new to me...oh! And my personal favorite Anything for drama or youre being dramatic. A part of the privilege is not having to be aware...a part of the privilege is the ability to brush it off...recognize your privilege so you dont look like an ass. I had to get that off my chest...and Im not going to apologize for it.
