Its so important to allow our kids to be open to many things. With my girls I encourage them to seek thier own path of spirituality even at a young age. I give them the information and let them decide for themselves. We talk about God, Jesus, angels, spirits, Aliens, Ufos, reincarnation, past lives, different religions and how its not necessary to be just one. I grew up in a time of rigid thinking, where the nun had no problem yanking my ear or where I was told not to question the word of God. This past week I heard a story about the new preist in the valley where a couple wasnt allowed to stand in a certain part of the alter because they had been living together prior to the marriage. It just blows me away. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone", does that ring a bell father? I would really like to have a chat with him. So many are not going to church these days and more have left the church altogether, wonder why? I wont let my girls go to religous ed because Im not into having them indoctrinated into something that I dont agree with. When they can question for themselves I will give my blessing for whatever they choose, until then I will be their spirit guide, along with the unseen. I pray with them at home, light candles, chant, burn sage, read cards and meditate with them. My daughters play with crystals and practice hypnotizing me.We gaze at the stars and I tell them of life on other planets and other realms of existance. I wouldnt have it any other way.
