Its so nice to be able to leave my house without hearing the word faggot and checking the property for spray paint or damages. Its nice that no one messes with our deadbolt and that I dont have to keep a bat near me at night to feel safe. I am happiest that my best friend is now safe as well, I hated hearing that they asked if he was still gay because of the clothes he wore or what he said. I also love not having to worry about having my car messed with, seeing dumb dyke written on your window or seeing your license plate almost ripped off is never fun. Harassment where you live is horrible. You never have peace of mind or feel safe. It can cause you mental as well as health problems and no one should have to deal with that. It has been almost 2 months since I moved out of that hellish place and I refuse to ever go back there.
