Its strange, you know, to think its been a year since my granny passed. Ive missed her everyday since we got that phone call. My heart broke that day and I think itll always be a little bit broken because shes not here. I find peace in knowing that I will see her again one day because I know shes in Heaven but sometimes it just hits me when I think of things she said and did; when I remember the smell of her, the way her chocolate chip cookies would melt in my mouth, the sound of her voice when she would say my name, and the way her hands felt when she would grab my arm when she hadnt seen me in awhile. My heart hurts and I cant stop the tears at those times. I know when it starts to snow I wont be receiving that phone call from her to make sure Im okay even though its snowing 100 miles from where I am. She always called and I loved knowing that she cared. Those are the hard times. Most days I just focus on all the years I did have with her and am thankful for that time. Ill see you again Granny and Im always loving you.
