Its such a sweet privilege to visit with my dad when Im home. He is at Southbrook in Farmington, where hes been for three weeks. Dad has Alzheimers, and also suffered a stroke, which he is undergoing rehab for at Southbrook. He is progressing, and Im so grateful for the nurses, aids, and therapists that are working with him. My mom is there with him every day from breakfast up to about 8:00 p.m. I ask you to pray for her as this daily grind has taken its toll on her. She is quite a testimony as to what love is, and she wont leave the side of the man she has been married to for 57 years. Some of you who live in the Farmington area know my parents. If you do, and have just a few minutes, Id like to ask you to stop by Southbrook, just across from Parkland Hospital, and speak a word of encouragement to my mom. Most likely, my dad will recognize you too. Hes in room 107. Ive been getting home every weekend, and I see my folks, but those weeks in between are pretty long for my mom. If you can spare a few minutes, Id appreciate you stopping by, and I know that God will make you feel truly blessed. Thanks!
