Its taken a week of not spending every half way spare moment working on my manuscript to drive home what I already knew to be true: writing books is hard work!!!! I cant believe how much time Ive had for other things this week AND how relaxing its been! Wow... I should probably be digging into the sequel to Pieces but doubt that I will for a bit yet. I want to get more posts written for my blog and begin to promote it on teen/abstinence/dating sites and among my ministry/youth worker friends. Also get some stuff in the works for our group blog as well. I did a little show and tell at my local writers group tonight. I passed around some pictures of our group. Oh, BTW, i sort of goofed on the groups pics but will be re-doing them tomorrow and getting them to you all soon. Anyway, back to show and tell. I passed around 2 copies of the conference booklet for people to get a feel for what goes on there, i gave the pitch for my book AND i talked endlessly about how cool it was for us to meet and spend time together. I gushed on and on but made sure to share one of the coolest things about us that we are all UNIQUE in our writing and no one tries to mold the others into his/her likeness. I also passed out my business cards to which id added both my blog and the our groups blog address by printing them on clear return address labels and sticking them to a blank space on the card. Worked very well.
