Its taken me more time to write this post than it did to make the decision and take action. After a great deal of deliberation, hand wringing and sleepless nights I have decided to shutter the shop on Broadway. While I was sad to dismantle my little jewelbox- the decision was ultimately a joyous one, rooted in a passion for what Spellbound stands for. It was always my dream to own a store- however, my dream failed to recognize thay my gypsy soul does *not* like being inside and waiting for the opportunity to make magic! So what do you do when its not right? You step back, go back to the drawing board (heck in this case I had to redraw the drawing board) And rethink that dream. Survey says: Dorothy,The power was with you all along. The Dream I was seeking was already there. I have a flower cart at the Square that I adore and Im the only bike based florist in the country...It is everything I want and it has been mine since day 1. So, instead of mourning closed doors I am here to celebrate expansion! We are going to be doubling the size of the cart at Pioneer Courthouse Square and going to 7 days a week and I will be out on the Petal Pusher 3-4 days a week delivering and making beautiful bouquets on the spot *ALL OVER PORTLAND* I am profoundly grateful for all the care, encouragement and support you have shown all our incarnations and I hope that you will be just as supportive of our new (ad)ventures. With more freedom and time to go seeking it only bound to get more lovely. With all our love and gratitude, Team Spellbound Nico, Shannon....and Benicio del Toado
