Its taking me by surprise that after so many years of playing music for audiences anywhere I could and after years of being a reporter and talking to strangers of all types in a variety of situations, now that Ive backed off of so much public work i find myself quickly slipping back into the crowd-and-social shyness that I had as a boy. I guess you can disguise who you are when necessary, but eventually your real self will come through again. Interesting.
