Its that time of the year again, music pals! The Americana Music Associations annual Awards Show and four nights of showcases at several downtown venues. Currently, I am looking for a ticket to the Awards Show tomorrow night (once again held at the Mother Church of Country Music...The Ryman Auditorium). Anyone that has an extra or two (I know others in the same boat that I wont mention by name; like Bob McDade). The Showcase lineup is especially tasty...My personal recommendations are below. They represent who I HOPE to see; as the logistics of gettin around and gettin in the joints presents its own obstacles. WEDNESDAY: Todd Snider & Friends, and LINDI ORTEGA (shes awesome!) THURSDAY: Luther Dickinson (of the N. Miss All-Stars), TRIGGER HIPPY(Jackie Greene!!), WILLIE SUGARCAPPS (Will Kimbrough, Grayson Capps, and more!) FRIDAY: Tim Carrolls Rock & Roll Happy Hour, Sons of Bill, MARAH(!!), JOSH RITTER SATURDAY: Americanarama at Grimeys!!, Corey Chisel, BLACKIE & THE RODEO KINGS.
