Its that time of year again...when we come before you on bended knee and rattle the cup, crying “Alms! Alms! Alms for the non-profit!” Let me be blunt...We will never face a shake-up like the one that rattled TNR to the very foundation a couple of weeks ago because nobody owns us; we all just work here. And even though the low pay is made up for with lousy hours, we love it and we want to keep doing it, and that means we have to ask you for money. If you are seeing my appeals for donations, you probably read some posts, but not all, and the ones you read, you probably read on a mobile device, either a phone or a tablet, and the chances are better-than-even that you have no use for corporate media and value independent journalism.
