Its the first competitive match of the season. It was important to begin the season with a win and a good performance because of confidence for the team. As a fan, Im pleased and I know others will be pleased too. We conceded first but we turned around the whole game within just 20 minutes. The quality of the second goal is alarming. Kudos to Fabregas and it was a nice finish from Schurrle. Its going to be hard for Burnley to survive in the Premier League. They will have energy and work hard for it, but its just that bit of quality they need against big opponent like Chelsea. When a team comes up from the championship, you just wonder where are the goals going to come from. Thats the key for Burnley as well. Danny Ings got a lot of goals in the Championship last season but its a big step up for him. Will the likes of Lukas Jutkiewicz, Ashley Barnes and Sam Vokes find the net enough? In terms of performance, Chelsea are there to the point that during the match it was looking like a preseason game to many. But there is one attitude that I dont like in our team, we always stop playing for goals when we are winning. The second half was played with less intensity after 3 goals. I think we should be scoring when the opportunity arises like this night. Before I finish, I will like to share my thought on the penalty appeal to Diego Costa. That was a stonewall penalty. His reputation for diving precedes him there. A penalty and a sending off all day long. Who said big clubs get all the big. decisions? Chelsea have defenders who can score, midfielders who can score and now a striker who can also score! Amazing season is gonna be.
