Its the last day of 2014. It looks like I will be not be bringing in 2015 with a roar... more like a whimper I guess. LOL I sit here still recovering from my surgery... doing my best to tolerate this catheter. I am so ready for it to be removed on January 8th. Overall though, I believe the recovery is going very well. I did have one blessing today. On the first of the month, my 10% disability check is deposited into my checking account. They deposited it one day early for some reason. Its not a lot... about $130 a month... but still very much a blessing. At the VA, I am blessed by the fact that my medical care is free... except for the $8 co-pay they charge me on my prescriptions. I have been on blood pressure and depression meds for some time now. Then with all the medical stuff going on... even more prescriptions. I hate taking pills... but now I am taking 11 bills a day. I dont think I have ever had to take that many pills in one day before. With my extremely limited income... I have not paid much on my prescription co-pays. They decided to take a portion of it that was the furthest past due out of my VA disability check. They took it all except $2.23. But hey... at least it happened in 2014... tomorrow it will be just a memory of something that happened last year. :) My sister told me yesterday that her oldest daughter is pregnant again and she is going to be a grandmother again. She is very excited about that and I am very happy for her. She loves those grandbabies. I do not make resolutions for the New Year. It seems as though resolutions are actually expected to be broken. I have decided that I will just ask God to direct me in the ways that He would have me go in 2015. I dont think I have anything really exciting or important to say today. I just wanted to post an update to end the year with. I pray that you are blessed with such an abundance in 2015 that you are unable to contain it all and have no other choice but to bless those around you as well. God bless you! I love you... every single one of you! BE BRIGHT AND SALTY!
