Its the last day of our online advent calendar. Weve been running it for the past fortnight because weve been asking for your help to renovate the building and we didnt want to take without giving - its Christmas after all. The advent calendar offers up its last treat today, but you can continue to donate to our fund here. Scotlands national poet Liz Lochhead wrote a specially commissioned poem for the Trafalgar Square Christmas tree lighting up ceremony on Thursday 4 December, 2014. The Look North More Often project brings established poets together with schoolchildren to create a poem that will go on display around the tree. The words of the children were used to inspire the final poem written by Liz and displayed around the base of the tree. Liz popped into the Library to record these seasonal words and you can hear them by clicking on the player below.
