Its the last performance of Grease tonight...congratulations to those of you who are involved in the show, to those of you who have tickets for tonight (Im sure it will be special) and commiserations to those of you who were sadly unable to see the show. Whereas Grease has been a great success both artistically and financially there are, sadly, no guarantees the theatre will be here in a year or six months or next week unless we continue, as they say, To get bums on seats! ...and you continue to support us by buying tickets for upcoming shows like TWO, Showaddywaddy and Oh What a Lovely War. What most of you dont realise is just how difficult it is to keep our little theatre open. We receive no subsidies from the government or local authority and we are often just one show away from closing. That is why we are so grateful for your support. We dont get it right every time, we know that, but we try our hardest. We try to give our talented performers a platform to showcase what they can do and we give you, our supporters, somewhere unique here on the Costa del Sol where you can see a variety entertainment. So, once more, thank you...lets keep our oasis flourishing, vibrant and most importantly..OPEN!
