Its the start of Christmas week and a very busy one by ther look of it. Most of the larger parties have been and gone, this week its certainly looking more like family and friends getting together. There are a few changes to our normal feeding times. On Christmas Eve we serve food until 5.30pm only, but please be warned we have a lot of people booked in the last 90 minutes and I would advise any prospective diners to check with us first. If you can come around 3pm that might work. We close on Christmas Eve at 10.30pm. Christmas Day is FULLY BOOKED AGAIN, thank you, and we have some reservations for 2015 already!!!! We close at 2.30pm to those just looking for a drink, and were open again on Boxing Day from noon. We will serve food until 7.30pm. Its a smaller than normal menu but plenty of variety. We close at 11.00pm. Then everything is back to normal until New Years Eve. We will serve food until 7.30pm. Again, I would check with us as we have a lot of people booked in the last 90 minutes. We have our New Years Eve party till late so come and join us for that. New Years Day we open at, and are serving food from, 12.30pm but only until 5.30pm. Please check with us if you want to come. We have a lot of bookings that day. We are serving a three course meal for £17.50p. There is plenty of choice. Our normal menu is not available. Last night was our Christmas Music & Entertainment Quiz. A great turn out saw Thge Red Nosed Reindeer conquer all to take 1st prize, beating The Beatles and Santas Helpers into 2nd and 3rd places. The hosts of our Sunday evening quizzes (8.30pm) have done a fantastic job throughout the year and we are very grateful to them. Many thanks indeed. The Monday Christmas Quiz is on the 29th December with an 8.30pm start!!!! A good turn out is expected so get in early. At this point Id like to say a big thank you and well done to everybody here for their efforts over the last twelve months, especially to Viv and John without whom I probably wouldnt be here. Im very lucky to have them. Like most of you 2014 has been a typical year for me. Ive had my ups and downs. Ive lost family and gained family. Ive gained lots more friends than Ive lost, and for those things Im grateful. Finally, to you. We all thank you for making The Falcon what it is. We couldnt do it without you. 2014 has been the most successful year of my tenure and probably in the history of the pub. Next year, with your help, we aim to beat that. We will increase our efforts to please you and make you want to pick The Falcon as your pub, because thats what it is. Thats what we want it to be, your pub. A very Merry Christmas and a fantastically Happy New Year to you and your families from all of us here at The Falcon. P.S. Ive actually managed to attach a copy of our normal menus to this page. A bit basic but not bad for a dino!!!! UTB
