Its time for an update, I have so many people in my life that have been there for myself and my sons. We havent been trying to avoid anyone, or ignore questions, but I have asked that nothing be said until, we had facts....Since May, I have had half my tongue removed, due to cancer, then I was told that the Drs., felt I was Cancer free. The end of June I found a lump in my neck, My Dr., told me he was confident, that it was residual, and that it was nothing to worry about...It didnt go away and either did the feeling in the pit of my stomach... after two follow ups and the Dr. Telling me it was my tonsil... I call my ins. carrier, BCBS, they gave me the name of an oncologist, in our area. First visit, My bad feelings were confirmed, a Pet scan, CT scan, chest x-Rays, it was decided to remove the tonsil and lymph node. The biopsy confirmed, I have squamous cell carcinoma, or I call it, the Jim Kelly crap..the radiation mask was made last week and radiation starts tomorrow, the port for chemo, hopefully will be inserted in the next couple of days , and that should start Monday.....we going at the Cancer very aggressively. I am at stage 2, but we are going at it as if it were stage 3....the side effects are severe burns to my mouth and throat, vomiting, ( still hurting since the tongue surgery) so they sat me down and explained that Im not going to be a happy camper, the only partying or dancing, Ill be doing is with the feeding tubes and pillows, for comfort... All kidding aside, I want to say, thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts, they are the best med. of all, and much appreciated.... I will try to answer your texts, and hope I dont fall asleep doing so, but Ill have Bobby try to keep you all in the loop. Bye for now and Love to all.. Moe Rider
