Its time some myths got settled once and for all - People from Kings College Budo largely believe theirs was/is the best boys school in Uganda - but not to SMACK OBs. Likewise, SMACK OBs (especially some of us Catholics where an entire family lineage has at some point gone through that school) also believe that SMACK is the better one - again, Budonians shall never accept this! Out of school, its anyones guess - both schools have produced some exceptional minds with influence in academia, government, research, science, technology and private enterprise. One thing I am almost certain about from observance is that Budonians are more outgoing, loud or more of extroverts! It is said that you can easily tell a Budonian when you meet one. Even a 75 year old Budonian shall not take long to tell you they are Budonian. I guess this pride or extrovertness is largely drawn from their Buganda royal linkages - the school was originally attended by abaana babaami! Now, for SMACK guys - successful as they are, you might never know until you may be engage in a deep conversation with them - thats if you are lucky that they open up at all! A friend of mine that recently got his PhD in Micro-Biology (and is a major project head) sums this personality up very well whenever I bump into him in my local pub while hes holding two babes and zonked-up for the weekend! You would never know!!!! Otherwise, our cousins - Namilyango OBs took all our extrovertness!!
