Its time to start thinking about the traditional mothers day pressie for picu/nicu families. Last year many of you joined and I encourage you all to do so again. As a mama to a child that was hospitalized for almost the entire first two years of her life, I truly know how much little things mean to a displaced family. And sadly its often the moms as primary care giver as dads often have the more money making jobs. I was very fortunate that my family helped as much as they did. Not everyone is as fortunate to have support that we had. So this year I will be making, chemo caps, cotton covered hair tie backs, a shawl and toddler blankets! Please, join me in making someone feel special.
