Its unfortunate that Shermans rant has become the biggest topic from an amazing game by two awesome teams. Anyone whos ever said something regrettable when emotions were running high should understand some of what happened with Richard Sherman. Hes a young guy who will not doubt learn from this experience. Has anyone ever seen Tom Brady, Lebron James, Jim Harbaugh, Floyd Mayweather, your son, brother, husband, sister or wife yell at an official or talk trash to another player/person when they were emotionally charged in sports or in life? I know Im guilty of this, okay on more occasions then one but I tell you one thing; during the game I was so emotionally jacked up that if you wouldve interviewed me right after that play or even two hours after that game, Im not sure what wouldve come out of my mouth and I wasnt even wearing a helmet. The point is that emotions are tough to control and sometimes they get the best of us. While everyone is entitled to an opinion, I dont think you should ever try to fully define what kind of person an athlete is by what you see him or her do on the field or even in an interview after an emotionally filled game. Good or bad this does not tell you everything about who they are. In my opinion Richard Sherman is an arrogant, trash talking, loudmouth, amazing, lock-down corner whos the best in the league right now. He backs up his talk and you can tell he plays with all of his heart all of the time. As a fan of the NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks, thats exactly who I want playing corner for my team in the Super Bowl. As for Richard Sherman the man....Ill hold out on my full judgement until I have the opportunity to sit down and have a beer with the guy. Everyone else who doesnt know the guy personally should consider doing the same. Now lets all get over this and get to talking about the SUPER BOWL!!!!
