Its unfortunate that there is no known video footage of the October 2, 1974 Joint in the Woods concert, but this was filmed just six days later in California. I never did understand why Marc Bolan kept everything so uniform throughout the 1974 T. Rex tour of the United States and Canada, but he always wore the exact same outfits and kept the same setlist every night. Its extremely difficult to tell one 1974 picture from another -- you always have to cross-reference something in the background to figure out where it was taken. The only difference here is that, although the California kids are enthusiastic, there was a lot more excitement at Parsippany. You dont see people jumping up and down waving those yellow English MARC BOLAN/T. REX banners. Marc always got a big hometown welcoming at his three New Jersey concerts, and perhaps thats why he later gave that shoutout in the lyrics to Dandy in the Underworld.
