Its very cold where Mama lives, down in the 20s, but she is being smart and staying inside. She wasnt feeling very well this morning, but was better this evening (which sure makes me feel better as well!). Gary and I will probably go back up there before too long...hes a great cook and she will eat whatever he makes. Thats kind of been a problem for her. Its hard for her to cook for just herself, then doesnt like what she makes, but will eat what someone else cooks for her (just cant eat much). Gary makes the best chicken n dumplings ever (which we had for dinner), plus some steamed cabbage, asparagus and red onions, now have a cherry pie in the oven. He has put an order in for a coconut cream pie, not making it tonight...maybe tomorrow. I didnt get to try any of the new recipes I found, but think Im going to go ahead and write them down in a notebook anyway. Then if they pass the test, they go in the big book! (he tells me I keep saying that and wonders when Im really going to do it! haha....Im thinking about it....Ill get there!)
