Its very frustrating trying to find out whats going on TODAY regarding Tibetan struggles. Yes, its a small country but strategically it is extremely significant, since it shares borders with China AND India, Bhutan, Mongolia and Nepal. The Third Pole, called Mount Everest by westerners, provides clean water for most of India and much of China. There are natural resources both China and the USA covet, and the Han government has been destroying the ecostructure to tap them. You might think our uber patriot right wingers would be busting a gut over these recent insults by China towards our outgoing Ambassador, who is half Han. Instead, crickets. Our President has twisted himself into a pretzel to accommodate our new corporate masters by not taking a strong stand against the treatment of ALL minorities in China. Chinas response? The Han throw out a good man whos only crime was to raise a human rights issue.
