Its with a saddened heart, to hear of the unexpected passing of great comic legend, Robin Williams. His comic timing was truly impeccable and hell always be remembered by me as: 1) His wonderful acting and 2) That he went through life with bipolar disorder. Having bipolar disorder myself, I know that there are a lot of inner demons one endures. By no means, am I comparing the severity of his condition to mine, but there is a shared community with those who have it. Whats sad is that mental illness is so misunderstood, still is and thats why the stigma needs to stop. I wont apologize for this rant, but I will apologize for the many family members, who see their loved ones go through this and feel they are doing their best to help them. Which they are. My job, outside of what Im doing now, will always be an advocate for those who have severe mental illness. In closing, my prayers go out to his family. May his legacy live on in each of their respective hearts.
