Its with great joy, that Im able to hear the teachings of Pastor Tony again. Silent night, Holy night...a poem written out of desperation because of a malfunctioning organ; music put to it and played by a guitar, was an analogy Pastor Tony used to declare that in our desperation, or malfunction, God drops a gift, that often thats the way He brings in miracles. Its in those moments of desperation, that He sets us up with a collision of a holy God. In Psalm 83:1 the psalmist cries out for God to not keep silent. In our desperation, we too, cry out to God to not keep silent, wondering when is God going to show up? We were instructed that God was silent for 400 years, but during that time God was setting up the world for an encounter. Whenever were in darkness of night, we cry out Dont be silent anymore. We want Him to bust into our world and speak. But He holds back to position us to receive His voice. He hides so that we recognize Him when He shows up. Luke 1 gave us examples of Zachariah and Mary and their response to the angel. Zachariahs of disbelief and Marys of wonder. Because of Zachariahs lack of faith, he began his silent night. PT admonished that we need to ask God to silence us. Many times we talk ourselves out of a miracle, breaking down the work of God by our words. Every silent night, is a set up for a holy night. We need to step back and let God show up in His time. When the fullness of time had come,...a strategic plan for us to receive Him, through His birth. We must patiently allow Him to prepare us for our miracle, even when Hes silent and know that He is God and has sent forth His Son into our hearts. He is working in the background shifting everything...nothing else like it..Emanuel, God with us; a silent night colliding with a holy night, releasing into our world that which would change our world; 400 years preparing for His birth. Through Psalm 8:2, PT spoke of a baby being silent in his mothers womb, but that when he is born, the first thing he does is cry. He spoke of God being silent for not just 400 years but since the fall of man and then majestically announced that when Jesus was born, His cry was the cry of the Lion of the tribe of Judah...Im here to change your world and I will silence your enemies. All this from a cry from a baby. PT encouraged us that every time we hear a newborn baby cry, to realize that the God of all creation, who made the moon and stars, who made us in His image, breathes into man. We are the only creation that has the breath of God making us capable, giving us power to do all things. There is no mountain too great, God will speak for His people. Collision of a silent night with a holy night caused all hell to break loose with Herod. God loves you so much. There is no force, no source that can keep you from being all that God said you can be. He will release you from years of silence and is ready to set you free.
