Its with great sadness that I report the passing of two very influential people in my life. Charles O. Stainback and Edward F. E. F. Stainback Jr. were very early Stainback Family Researchers. Charles O. Stainback descends from the Peter Stainback Sr. (ca. 1733-1807) line out of Amelia and Lunenburg Co., VA while E. F. Stainback descends from the Forrestor Stainback (ca. 1775-1857) line out of Granville and Caswell Co., NC. Their early research on the Stainback Family has helped pave the way for future Stainback Family researchers. While I never had the opportunity to actually meet either Gentleman, Ive spoken with them countless times and shared correspondence with them over the past 30 years. I am forever in their debt for sharing their research and ideas on the Stainback Family, and count my life Blessed for having such kind fellows as Mentors, Colleagues, and Family. richandthompson/new_view.php?op=view&id=5343018
