It’s August in a non-election year, so things are dead on the political blogs & websites. The corruptocrats are back home or on vacation, so instead we get stories on O’s dog or a rodeo clown wearing an Obama mask. But of deep concern are reports of the GOP establishment planning to cave (again) on amnesty & Obamacare. If they do many conservatives, tired of one-party rule, are now talking third party. Ronald Reagan (despised by the GOP elites) said this in 1975: “Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?” Those same words ring true today. Reagan won 44 states in 1980 and 49 in 1984. The GOP establishment gave us McCain & Romney. If our “leaders” don’t have the courage to fight, time to find new ones (and possibly a party) who will. Critics say this guarantees decades of Dem rule. So? If amnesty & Obamacare aren’t stopped, what’s the difference?
