It’s HUMP Day! Sometimes during your busy work week you forget to take care of the most important business…yourself. So if you are reading this, step away from your computer and take a De-Stress Break with us: 5 Simple Ways to De-stress at Work: 1. Walk for Lunch - Carry a pair of tennis shoes and leave the office. Go to a park. Go to a restaurant. Just go. Do not eat at your desk or in the break room. The change of pace and scenery helps you relax! 2. Nap for Lunch- After or before you eat, take a 26 minute nap in your car. A 26-minute nap can boost workplace performance because it improves mood, creativity, and focus! 3. Stretched- Try these easy stretches: Clasp your hands above your head and stretch upward for a few seconds. Next, roll your head down and around a few times. Then, stand up and reach for the floor. 4. Stop Worrying- Make a Must- Do and To-do List for the day Make a list, to avoid forgetting anything, you’ll stay focused on the job. Schedule 10 Minutes of “Me Time” to step away from a project or task and breathe when work gets challenging. 5. Be Nice to Yourself and Give Yourself Some Credit- Most of us don’t take enough time to praise ourselves for doing things well.
