~ It’s That Kind Of I Love You ~ I knew from the moment you looked into my eyes and said you loved me, truly loved me… that any unbearable would be bearable because it suddenly dawns on me that all that I lack has been living inside of you all this time It’s that kind of I love you that makes me smush my body against yours inviting you to zipper me up in your straightjacket embrace squeeze the air out of my lungs as if we could be closer still by exhaling just a little bit more It’s that kind of I love you like I’ve never loved anyone, that feels like more than I deserve It’s that kind of I love you that makes me want to burn in your fire knowing I will probably never heal from this It’s that kind of I love you that means if I die you’re the one that has to know because that matters somehow It’s that kind of I love you that rips the doors off the hinges of every basement of my being that once hung a sign screaming, “keep out!” It’s that kind of I love you where nothing shall be forbidden between us It’s the kind of I love you that’s merely an appetizer to a 9-course meal -- which is way more than I know how to receive but I’m willing to learn It’s that kind of I love you where time collapses and no thought remains except that I want your mouth on mine And so I kissed you with my everything in an effort to say I love you in your language And you drank me in and somehow the more you drank the more full I was I knew from that moment that beyond the point of no return was to be the place we were pushing off of from then on.
