It’s alive again! Thanks to the digital revolution I can now take the film even further than I ever imagined! Here’s what changed things - A print is no longer necessary! Today, a computer file is rapidly becoming the standard format for projection in theatres. That was the budget iceberg that nearly sank this ship and placed it dead in the water for more than fifteen years. I’m now having a digital telecine transfer made from the original negative. It should look a thousand times better than the one-light print that was transferred to 3/4 tape then VHS. No timing of the print at the lab is needed. Instead micro-decisions and enhancements can be made on a Mac computer with Final Cut Pro. New shots can be added to further the extra storyline development and colourization. Not to mention, much easier revisions can be made to the old edit. Also, thanks to a program called Toon Boom Animate, professional level animation, (some colour), can be added. The musical savant, Sid Perez, is working on a new intro for the animated title sequence. The engine is working. The ship is moving and I am extremely excited about the new course set for a project that never really reached the shoreline. Anthony Harrison – June 2013
