It’s been a week from hell for Tony Abbott, especially on his GP Tax. - On Tuesday his health minister ruled out a GP Tax by stealth - On Wednesday afternoon Abbott abandoned the GP Tax altogether - On Thursday his Treasurer and Health Minister not only rolled the PM and reinstated the GP Tax, they backflipped on the GP Tax by stealth as well! Despite this, Tony Abbot is unfazed, telling a big business dinner “that by any fair measure it’s been a successful year for the Government.” It all sounds very much like Monty Python’s Black Knight declaring “It’s just a flesh wound” as he falls apart. https://youtube/watch?v=2eMkth8FWno
