It’s been four years. Grieving is over but memories remain. I have moved on and forward but how it happened exactly four years ago, I still can perfectly recall. Questions and puzzles are still there. I’m still puzzled why the NPA triumphed at killing a good man who’s main intention that day on a holiday (Ninoy’s death anniversary too) was to follow orders as he was a dedicated and committed Police Officer and a Filipino citizen. The NPA triggerman has finally succeeded in rendering my children fatherless. But due to that senseless fighting, I am certain that his comrades and maybe himself have rendered their children fatherless too. Why the armed struggle? Have they got something from their hiding in the mountains for decades? I used to believe in the wisdom in Marxism having studied Marxist philosophy for one semester in College. I joined in many rallies for social change back then. I had friends who faithfully embraced communism and finally went up the mountain after graduation. I respect their decision. However, after two decades, after many rallies and many avenues for exercising democracy, my friends are still up there fighting for I don’t know what! Still these senseless killings. They are now even represented in the Congress. Yet I’m still puzzled with their intentions. What are they really up to? They see problems but they don’t offer solutions. Now Im exasperated with that ideology. I just pray that these people shall go back to the arms of the government and participate in nation building. I hope and pray that they become truly Filipinos, for once. To Nunez Brixx, I love you pre. The kids and I are so proud of you. You died a hero. You had a glorious end. Happy 4th year in heaven. May fb din ba dyan? PM me naman.lol
