It’s been three days now since the much awaited Dharamsala - TopicsExpress

It’s been three days now since the much awaited Dharamsala International Film Festival (DIFF) with promises to come again next year around same time, wind up its four days long event yet even now some of the movies like LASTING from Poland, WITH YOU, WITHOUT YOU, from Sri Lanka, La Voz De Los Silenciados ( The Voice of the Voicless…? I guess its) from States, CROSSING BRIDGES (One of the best film out there at diff and getting great chance to talk with its director Mr. Sange Dorjee Thongdok from Arunachal, was a sheer pleasure!) And above all these, THE ROCKET from Australia shot in Laos (the most bombed country on earth) leaves me with nothing but to think of Ahlo, the ten years old boy, the protagonist and Kia, the spirited orphan……. And the story of displaced people who were forced to evacuate their villages owing to damming project…….it was kind of a movie I would have indeed loved to make or simply watch again……despites the number of short films which are not yet released and probably not going to be released even in the near future as well! FANDRY (About unheard casteism in south of India- at least to me, and may be for many out there ) by Nagraj Manjule and FILMISTAN, (almost comedy film with strong message or feeling risen from the great partition of India) by Nitin Kakkar and Crew, shown as last film was not less a treat for the mind and heart in the evening……just hoping to be remain alive for such more films……:)
